Q is for Quilt || 2019

I am not sure if you are ready, but it is time to start thinking about
projects for 2019. We have two monthly programs to share with
you today. Take a minute and think about what might work for you.

 Quarterly Quilts  ||  2019

We are getting ready to start our third year of
Quarterly Quilts and we hope you will join us.

These four quilts were our 2018 Quarterly Quilts.

The idea is simple each quarter you will receive a complete

kit (backing not included) for a throw size quilt. 

 As you can see color and style will vary but there is always 

one thing you can be sure of. Our favorite reproduction fabric 

will be used to recreate a wonderful antique inspired quilt.

Quarterly Quilts are small throw size.

Finished Quilts are approximately 50" x 60"

Quirky Quilt Club  ||  2019

My first book has been on the shelf for a few
months and I think it is time to make a few of
these Quirky Little Quilt. The Club will include
6 months of quirky project featuring my new
fabric line Temecula Treasures, from Marcus Brothers.
I will be adding additional prints to each quilt kit to
give them that perfectly peculiar look. Kits will be as similar
to the projects in the book as possible. Kits will include
all necessary fabric for quilt top and binding.
(quilt backing will not be included)

up your Secret Santa Sew along. Lets get started!

Cutting

from a variety of light prints, cut:

31 strips, 2-3/4" x 11-3/4"

Use diagram below to piece 5 sashing rows and 4 block rows.

Sew the rows together, quilt as desired and Enjoy!

Mini Monday's

I think this Monday Mini comes pretty close to the original.

Nothing is more fun than going into your scraps in search

of all the perfect scraps to recreate a vintage quilt.

from a variety of light prints, cut:

96 rectangles, 2" x 2-3/4"

48 rectangles, 2-3/4" x 4-1/4"

Using the block diagram above layout each unit in rows.

Sew units in each row together. Sew rows together.

Finishing instructions will be posted next week.

nine-patch quilt was the inspiration for my first fabric line

and has been reproduced for you to make and enjoy.

Our Vintage Holiday kits are limited by the number of charm 

squares we were able to cut with advance yardage. If you

Cutting

from a variety of light prints, cut:

12 strips, 1-1/4" x 11"

from a variety of red prints, cut:

12 strips, 1-1/4" x 11"

Sew one light strip, 1-1/4" x 11" and one red strip, 1-1/4" x 11"

together along the length of strip. Press toward red.
Repeat with all 12 red and light strips

Sub-cut 96 | 1-1/4" units. Sew two units together 

to make 48 four patch units.
Finished block 1-1/2" square
2" square including seam allowances
