Christmastide . . .
I hope everyone has had a good time with my "version" of the
12 Days of Christmas. I am not quite done stitching. I will post a
finished picture when it is all done. I hope now that you see
the "finished" project you understand a little better what
I was going for. The 12days of Christmas was just a fun way to
motivate me and you I hope to get started recreating this
great quilt. You will see shapes in this quilt that you did
not receive. These are shapes I added that are personal to me.
Add a few shapes that are special to you - I found most
of my shapes using google images. You will also notice
that I did not use all the shapes I gave you. Be Creative!

Hint: I have 3 daughters, see them standing all in a row?

  4. That is great you decided to personalize it. The fabric choices are neat. I saw the quilt on display last year so I had an understanding of where you were headed.

    Enjoyed seeing the almost completed
    quilt. Thank you for sharing
your drawings and the meaning of the
symbols each one was a gift. Great
    way to celebrate the season.

  8. Thank you so much! This is going to be a special project for me this year. I am looking forward to adding some of my own shapes and doing some in wool. What size did your top end up? I am planning on using an old cotton dress shirt and probably won't have 42 inches square. But I will work with what I've got to create something for myself and my family to enjoy. Thanks again for all of the shapes.

Thanks for putting a picture of it up for us to see.
I have the V&A calendar and January is that quilt so every time I have downloaded a part I've had a look at the original. I love how you have so many of the original shapes.
