Empty Bowls
Hope Not Hunger
My daughter's high school held their 2nd annual
Empty Bowls Fundraiser this past weekend.
The Empty Bowls Club on campus makes beautiful
bowls all year long, most made in the students free time.
On the evening of the event you purchase a "empty bowl"
for $10.00 and it is filled with soup donated by local
restaurants, a piece of bread and a bottle of water
complete your meal. It was a great event that raised
thousands of dollars for our local food pantry and other
global food needs. I thought a little good news about
what kids are doing is needed during these difficult times.

  6. My husband's woodturning club does the same thing! It's great to hear that young people are involved in their communities. Mary
