Lucky Me!
I was returning some stuff to the florist from the wedding today
and in the process picked up a treasure. Lucky for me she was
doing a little organizing and came across these little gems. Now
to decide how to set them, Any ideas, please share.
Want to make something similar?
here are the basics:
3" finished 9-patch - cut 1-1/2" squares
3-1/2" cut setting square.

What an honor to have "our" wedding
featured on Urban Style.

Wow! What a lucky girl! I love those red and brown blocks. I don't have any particularly creative ideas but I like 3" sashing with nine patches for the cornerstones. The wedding really was very beautiful. You must be so proud.

I have an antique quilt top with blocks very similar to those. It is set simply with indigo/white squares. I'll take send you a photo.

Taryn and I are on the same quilters wave, I was thinking that exact same those blocks would just float..it would almost be a double irish chain

I love nine patches!! I'm making some with Christmas fabrics and am going to set them with alternating plain blocks - makes it look like a single Irish chain (almost) I've heard it called double nine patch. What a treasure - thanks for sharing!

I would use sashings and cornerstones to set the blocks. They are lovely. What a nice surprise for your day!

Your block find is wonderful! There's nothing like a simple 9-patch in my book...love them to bits...the tinier the bits the better. Thanks you for sharing the beautiful wedding photos, simply gorgeous!

I'm seeing a 3 1/2" x 9 1/2" sashings in a mourning grey. Setting these on point with a 1" finished red inner border. Mabye a 5" finished border of a multicolored Civil War print with grey and red. But if you are going for a Wedding theme then sash with random shirtings. Oh and congrats on the wedding.
