My Collection Day #2

This is a piece of a quilt that someone gave me. You

know I love those little 1/2" squares. A simple blue

binding and another piece of the past saved.

These blocks were purshased at Road to California.

They are 6-1/2" finished. I am not sure if the block has

a name, does anyone know? I sashed them and added 

cornerstones and a border from fabric from the first

Dear Jane line of fabric by Brenda Papadakis for Windham.

Pieces of the Past

I have a small collection of quilts made from antique blocks.

I have purchased the blocks at quilt shows and on ebay.

I use new reproduction fabric to bring the blocks together

to create a new piece of the past. Over the next several days

I am going to share my collection with you. Please keep in

mind that there are no patterns and that most of the fabric

 used is no longer available. Enjoy my collection.

Finished

I have been finishing up a few projects and emptying some

plastic containers. Sometimes you just need to let the bigger

project go and be happy and done with a smaller one.

Check out my post on these cute scrappy houses. Open

up a container and finish up a project it feels great.
