My Sewing Box
What is in your Sewing Box?
I have been obsessed with hand quilting lately. I thought
that it would take to long to hand quilt a small doll quilt, I
could do it much faster on the machine, right? Well it
turns out it does not take much longer and I like the results
so much better. So hand quilting it is.

Just a little note about my sewing box. My handy husband
made this for me out of an old cigar box my daughter
found at a garage sale. I love it and I am sure many of
you will too. I am afraid this is a one of a kind.
If you have a handy husband or friend maybe they
will make one for you.

Just another little note. There will be more
information on the quilts tucked under my
sewing box later this week.

  1. That is a good idea, I do have some old boxes and need places to put my small items.

  8. I love the look of hand quilting but I also thought it would take so much more time (and be much harder) than machine quilting... Have you ever considered holding a class in hand quilting for those of us who are a little intimidated by the process?

The one thing I love most about Temecula's little quilts - I actually have time to do several of them for friends, hostess gifts, and even myself! I used to stay up nights trying to get larger pieces made and quilted for gifts and decorating to the point where it was not that enjoyable. Thanks for putting the joy back into my holiday quilting!
