Seeing Nicole's finished Dear Jane made me sad. Sad because
I stopped short on mine and did not do the whole thing. I like
to call it Dear Jan - not quite Dear Jane. What to do?
The only sensible thing to do is make it again, right? So today I
brought home 15 yards of Kona Natural with the crazy notion
to start making those 4-1/2" blocks again. My original quilt does
not include the triangle border but this time it will.
Call me crazy but here I go again. I will keep you posted.
Do you want to Dear Jane along with me?

Yes, yes I do. I will be getting my book spiral bound tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI can't promise I'll stick with it but I will pick it up again. I only have 40 blocks done. You've inspired me#
ReplyDeleteI want to do this along with you! I have pinned several color choices on pinterest and have a desire to do a pink and red version. I need to order a book!
ReplyDeleteYES, You have stepped onto the Crazy Train. Enjoy the ride. I'll just watch! 4" blocks are just TOO tiny for me and the Triangle- I wouldn't do them, just saying.
ReplyDeleteyes, maybe I will complete it this time.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to make one but have never started. Why not now? :)
ReplyDeleteI have half of mine done and half of the triangles. I burned out a little on it. One day I will pick it up again.
ReplyDeleteI've started and stopped so many times...started it when I had the shop....thanks for the inspiration❤️
ReplyDeleteI started one but didnt finish mine either.....maybe this will give me inspiration? Lol
ReplyDeletelol! Have fun with it! So many folks enjoying the process of Dear Jane...
ReplyDeleteMaybe if I'm in a quilt-along, I'll finish my Dear Jane. I was in a club and then we moved. My fabric just sits crying out to be touched. Please organize a quilt-along. We can help each other.
ReplyDeleteA quilt-along would be great. I may just join you.
ReplyDeleteyes I am ready to start another dear jane.... I quit the last time after 105 blocks...called my quilt "dear john to dear jane, I am so over you"....but alas that is just not true...count me in
ReplyDeleteWhy not? J'ai le livre depuis longtemps mais je ne me suis jamais lancée seule alors là je saute sur l'occasion, merci
ReplyDeleteI was this quilt at the Bennington, VT Museum last fall and fell in love! That whole Vermont in the fall trip was the best of my life, so what better way to memorialize it? I'm going to Dear Jane along with you!
ReplyDeleteI "was" not the quilt, I "saw" the quilt! But you know us quilters, we can become one with our quilts easily! haha!
ReplyDeleteGo you can.I still playing with my litlle ones in blue fabrics and hope to sew several blocks this summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm bringing down my box and will pick this up again. Nicole finishing not one but two quilts is a great inspiration.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to make this... For retirement! I'd probably use up the rest of my life doing it:)
ReplyDeleteI would love to join you after having collected a lovely selection of Turkey Red, Americana Blue & various shirtings with blue & red prints. This I feel would tie together our two countries. Red, White & Blue.
ReplyDeleteI have all the stuff but have never started.....maybe a sew along would
ReplyDeleteget me going!
Happy Sewing
I started mine a few weeks ago, drafting them myself on paper. Just ordered the software program to make things easier. I am using 30s repo fabric.
