Just thinking about the antique quilt here... At first I thought about one scenario -- Did she start with the larger squares, and get smaller and smaller? I don't think so! NOW, I'm thinking totally opposite.
ReplyDeleteShe started with the teeny tiny ones, and thought, "Man--this is going to take forever!" So, she moved up to the 2-1/2" squares. After a couple months, then went for the BIGGIES. JUST GET IT DONE!! LOL. Whatever happened, however she did it, I am GLAD she did. What a great quilt to make again. :) Thanks to you for leading the way, Temecula Quilt Company.
I think you are right on the money with your thinking. I wanted to make this but just couldn't face all that cutting. Then I was looking for something else and found my partially done lozenge blocks. I wasn't crazy about them so after making 30 I quit. But I had all those 1 1/2 inch squares already cut and enough 2 1/2 X 5 inch rectangles to cut down for the 2 1/2 inch squares so all I had to cut were the large squares. Now for the sewing.
