One Block Wednesday

Block Count - One Hundred Sixty Eight
+  +  +  +  +  +  +
We are almost half way there and if you are like me you have probably
worked ahead and might be ready to start working on assembly.
To speed up assembly on a quilt like this, I like to pair
up blocks in sets of two. I only pay attention to be sure
that fabrics and colors are not repeated in each pair.
Once you have a variety of pairs, sew the pairs into
sets of four, again trying not to repeat fabrics and colors.
Once you have a large variety of four block units you
can begin to lay them out and start piecing rows. The quilt
is laid out in 21 rows of 17 blocks. You will need to add a
single block to one side and the bottom once you get the
sets sewn together. Here is a little sneak peek.
Need to get caught up, all the details can be found here.
