I didn't want anyone to miss out on this little cutie. We have
been doing a little sew along on Instagram and I wanted to share it
here as well. All the details are at the bottom of this post.
Block Cutting
-x-x-x-x-x-
For basket cut:
1 square, 3” x 3”
4 squares, 2” x 2”
For background cut:
1 square, 3” x 3”
1 square, 1-1/2” x 1-1/2”
2 rectangles, 1-1/2” x 2-1/2”
4 squares, 2” x 2”
Block Assembly
-x-x-x-x-x-
1. Using 2” squares make eight half square triangles.
Square units to 1-1/2” You will have one of extra.
2. Using 3” squares make 2 half square triangles.
Square one unit to 2-1/2” You will have one extra.
3. Use layout to assemble block.
4. Blocks finish 4” x 4” -
unfinished 4-1/2” x 4-1/2” including seam allowances.
--Setting Cutting and Assembly
-x-x-x-x-x-
From navy print cut:
8 strips, 2" x 4-1/2"
5 strips, 2" x 15-1/2"
2 strips, 2-1/2" x 24" - side borders
Layout quilt top using photo at top of post.
Sew four rows of three basket blocks together.
Join rows using 2" x 15-1/2" strips.
Add side borders to quilt top.
Quilt as desired, bind and Enjoy!
