Down Home Darling

I LOVE this quilt! I hope you do too.
Lets take a closer look.

It is time to add the last two dark logs. I decided
get this project finished up just in case you have a little
extra sewing time during the holiday weekend.

Add your last two dark logs, press and square
up and lets put this quilt together.

I made a quick video explaining the simple way I put together
a one patch quilt. It works great and saves a lot of time.
You can watch video here.

  5. I have so enjoyed watching you make the log cabin quilt the easy way, breaking it down to manageable steps. Purty, purty as we say in TN. It's on my list as soon as this dampanic 😘 is over. Even if I only make a wall covering lol.

I think the new book will prove red and green is not Just for Christmas anymore!

  9. I always love receiving your emails. I save nearly all of them to inspire me. I’ve done at least one from your latest book & hope to go more. Your shop has been on my bucket list for several years & now I’m able to travel but Covid has put my trip on hold. No, I don’t have it, just don’t want to get it. I keep hoping I can get to your store sooner than later. In the meantime I’ll have to hunker dien In Minnesota

  12. I can't wait to start a red and green quilt. I must finish Christmas gifts first and then I will sew a small one for myself. I plan to use one of the postcard patterns I have from your shop. I haven't completely decided which one to use . . . yet.
I'm thankful for talented quilters like yourself who create such awesome patterns for us to use.
    Happy Thanksgiving.

  25. Maybe I messed up somewhere but my blocks (after all logs are sewn) measure 6 5/8". Your video states they should measure 5 1/8".I guess it doesn't matter, my quilt will just be a little bigger. Its been great fun!
