Four Patch
Cutting is for one block, repeat to make four blocks

from first print, cut: 2 squares, 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
from second print, cut: 2 squares, 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"

Lay out the 2-1/2" squares in two rows of two.
Sew the squares in rows. Join the rows to make
a Four Patch block that measures 4-1/2" square,
including seam allowances.
Summer Stars
+  +  +  +  +  +  +
I have enough Summer Stars blocks made [ninety-nine] to
start putting my quilt together. I really like the way each
star looks a little different. Fabric placement is everything!
Road Trip Stitching
+  +  +  +  +  +  +
Do you take small hand stitching projects with you
when you are road tripping? I never leave home without
a few projects to work on. English paper piecing is the perfect
project to work on as you are rumbling down the highway.

Here are the details for this small project
Finished quilt size 33-3/4" x 37-1/2"
56 hexagon flowers -
eight rows of seven blocks
Hexagon size  5/8"
Red background square, cut 4-1/4" x 4-1/4"
Borders cut: 4-1/4" x length of your quilts sides
 1-1/2" single thickness binding
Quilting - edge to edge longarm meander

Blue Cheese
+  +  +  +  +  +  +
I just love blue and cheddar color combination
in this quilt. Download this discounted pattern
and choose a color combo of your own.

  1. I only need 21 more stars to make my 99 and have so enjoyed this fun project! Please tell me what fabric you used for your setting blocks. Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration, Sheryl!

  2. It is from my Bygone Brown collection. I was unable to get any to have at the shop, it is sold out. There are lots of online shops that still have some. The number is R31 0878-0140
