I am searching for more quilts for our Spring T and Sample Sale.

I am adding another form of Social Media to

my sewing basket. If you would like you can now follow

on behind the scene stuff and how I use quilts in my home.

First on the list is my Summer Bow Tie Quilt

Somewhere between 1200 to 1500 - 2" Bow Ties

is a quick Bow Tie Tutorial.  

For One Bow Tie cut the following:

two 1-1/2" dark squares

two 1" dark squares

two 1-1/2" light squares.

I am using all the same light, Kona Natural

Sew 1" dark square to corner 1-1/2" light square, diagonally

Trim off corners - Press toward dark

Assemble like a 4 patch.

Only 1199 left to go

Spring Circles

This is a super fresh and fun quilt to make. I am really liking
the way reproduction fabrics look with all the Kona Natural.
So fresh and springy. This is another PDF pattern so you
can get started right away. Find the pattern here.

Spring Biking

I "try" to ride my bike every morning. This bike just sits in the yard

looking pretty. My daughter found it in a pile of bikes at Cal Poly

and brought it home to me. Even a rusty old bike looks great

with some pretty spring flowers and a new quilt. If you would like to

make this quilt for your bike you can find the pattern here. I made 

this one out of a variety of blues so I will be ready for our 

Blue and White Quilt Show this fall. If you would like to 

 participate in our show here are a few things to keep in mind.

If you would like to contribute a quilt for the show it

can be any size large or small and it can be made with

and variety of blues and lights even a little tan is fine.

Quilts will need to be in the shop by mid September.

Spring Planting

Instead of pulling weeds in the garden I was busy 

taking pictures of quilts. I would hate to get my hands 

all dirty. This beauty is totally outside my box.

I purchased this fabric for my daughters graduation 

quilt but decided to use something different. This

pile of fun spring prints was calling my name. I found 

this pattern and had it sent right to my inbox. I love PDF

patterns when the creative mood strikes. Enjoy I am off

to the garden to pull weeds and plant some blueberries.
