Broken Dish | Block Two

from medium cut 2 | 2-1/4" squares
from dark cut 2 | 2-1/4" square
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Make half square triangles using 2-1/4" squares and the following technique.
draw diagonal line on wrong side of light square
sew 1/4" on each side of line
cut on line | press toward dark | square units to 1-5/8"

Use photo to layout and assemble block
Unfinished block should measure 2-3/4"

Made the Friendship Star and Broken Dishes today, by adding a forth of an inch so my blocks are 3 inches.

ReplyDeleteThe Broken Dish was the first block I made in my Jo Morton's Little Women's club, when I started quilting 12 years ago. This little block is sew cute!
