a little bit quirky is totally what I had in mind.

Using Making the Block instructions on page
21 - 24 of Returning to Temecula create
10 little blocks of your choice.

Using your quilt measurements for lengths of
strips add borders as diagrammed on page 26.
Add two borders to each side and three
borders to top and bottom

*Note* Little blocks are not shown in borders
in diagram above. Use border diagrams in book.

Finished Quilt

Scavenger Hunt Sew Along - Clue Seven

No sampler quilt would be quite right,

without a nine patch in plain sight.

This sweet little quilt, the Nine Patch Posy,
will help our quilt come out just rosy.

* H i n t *

Make 22 Nine Patch blocks using cutting instructions on page 39 and 
assembly instructions on page 40 of Returning to Temecula

Additional Pieces - cut as follows:
Brown Print - 44 squares, 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" cut diagonally once
Light Print - 20 strips, 1-3/8" x 3-5/8"

Add brown print triangles to each side of Nine Patch blocks
 using instructions on page 55 of Returning to Temecula.

Assemble Row Seven using diagram above and light print strips. 

Finished Row 3-5/8" x 43-1/2" including seam allowance

Add Row Seven to each side of center unit.

Scavenger Hunt Sew Along - Row Six

Temecula’s history is deep in the past,

and Butterfield Blues is sure to make it last.

The log cabin block has stood the test of time,
and these special ones are a favorite of mine.

Make 24 Log Cabin blocks using cutting instructions on page 67

and assembly instructions on page 68-69 of Returning to Temecula.

Additional Pieces - cut as follows:
from dark prints - 2 strips, 1" x 4"
from light prints - 2 strips, 1" x 4"

Assemble Row Six using diagram above,

add additional 1" strip to top and bottom of each row. 

Finished Row 4" x 43-1/2" including seam allowance

Add Row Six to each side of center unit.

Scavenger Hunt Sew Along - Clue Five

Climb to the top for this simple clue,

Lovely Ladders will not make you blue.

Choose two different prints as easy as can be,
make 42 four patches that's all you will see.

Make 43 Four Patch blocks using cutting
 instruction on page 59 and assembly instructions
on page 60 of Returning to Temecula.

You will need two half Four Patch blocks
to add to the bottom of each row.

Assemble Row Five using diagram above,
add a half four patch block to the bottom of each row.

Finished row 2-1/2" x 43-1/2" including seam allowances

Add Row Five to each side of center unit.

Scavenger Hunt Sew Along - Clue Four

Twenty Four little blocks as sweet as can be,

adding double pink makes it perfect for me.

This one is easy and plain as your nose,
follow the instruction for a couple Rickrack Rows.

Make 24 Square-in-a-Square blocks using cutting 

instructions on page 43 and assembly instructions 

on page 44 of Returning to Temecula

Double Pink - cut as follows:
11 squares, 5" x 5" cut diagonally twice - side triangles
4 squares, 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" cut diagonally once - corner trianlges

2 strips, 1-1/2" x 4" - see note below

Make two on point rows of 12 blocks as diagrammed and

explained in step one of Assembling the Quilt Top on page 45.

Assemble Row Three using diagram above,
add additional pieces to the bottom of each row.
(additional pieces may not be necessary, add only if your row is to short)

Finished Row 4" x 43-1/2" including seam allowances

Add Row Three to each side of center unit.

Scavenger Hunt Sew Along - Clue Three

A few Little Leftovers sewn up from some scraps,

a variety of lights and darks, there are no sneaky traps.

Cut up some squares and trim them just so,
piece them together in a neat little row.

 * H i n t *
Make 28 Half-Square Triangle blocks using cutting and
assembly instruction on page 72 of Returning to Temecula 

Note - Each block contains only four half -square-triangles.
you will need a total of 112 half-square-triangles.
When piecing blocks pay attention to orientation 
of Half-Square-Triangle blocks. See diagram below.

Additional pieces - cut as follows:
Brown Print - 2 strips, 1-1/2" x 3-1/2"

Assemble Row Two using diagram above,

add additional pieces to the bottom of each row.

Be sure to pay attention to orientation of Half-Square-Triangles.

Finished Row 3-1/2" x 43-1/2" including seam allowance.

Add Row Two to each side of Row One.

Scavenger Hunt Sew Along - Clue Two

Who doesn’t love a pinwheel, they are so much fun,
luckily they’re simple and you won’t need a ton.

Ten little Building Blocks is all that you’ll need,

a few other prints and the center row takes the lead.

Before we get started on this weeks hint I just want to be sure
everyone is on the same page with their center block. Your
center block should measure 5-1/2" including seam allowances.

Make ten small red and white pinwheels using cutting and
assembly instructions on page 50 of Returning to Temecula

Add corners to Pinwheel block
From dark brown print - Cut 20 squares, 2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
Cut in half diagonally once and add to each side of
pinwheel blocks. Square each unit to 3-1/2"
(See additional instructions for this technique on
 page 55 of Returning to Temecula)

Additional pieces - cut as follows:
Blue Print - 4 strips, 1-1/2" x 19-1/2"
Brown Print - 8 strips, 1-1/2" x 3-1/2"

Assemble Row One using diagram above.

Finished Row 5-1/2" x 43-1/2" including seam allowances

Gather your supplies and lets get going,
it will be so much fun to do a little sewing.

Sixteen Squares is not quite enough,
but this center block is not all that tough!

Make one block as diagrammed on page 8 of Returning to Temecula
To make the math work out correctly use 1-1/2" squares instead of 1-3/8"
Add additional squares to make a 25-patch as shown in photo above.

Finished Quilt 39" x 49"

This is one of my all time favorite quilts!
so I hope you will decide to join us and don't miss out.

Each week you will receive a clue that can be
found within the page of my book.

Don't worry there will also be a hint to help you out.

You will be constructing multiple blocks and will
be creating a one of a kind row quilt.

The quilt is very scrappy, I used both of my lines,
Temecula Treasures and Special Scraps. You will also need
a few setting fabrics but never more than 1/4 yard.

Sorry but we will not be making kits for this project.

I can't wait to get started!
